About us: NAT 28 is comprised of five winds (a flutist, clarinetist, saxophonist, oboist, French hornist), two strings (a violinist and a cellist), a harpist, percussionist, pianist, and a composer-in-residence. We are passionate about bringing new and engaging music to the people of Pittsburgh and creating artistic performance that is deeply embedded in the identity of this city. We believe in commissioning and performing work by a diverse body of composers and giving performances that challenge and excite our audiences. We perform in both traditional and nontraditional venues with the goal of reaching audiences that might not otherwise be exposed to our genre of art. We frequently combine our performances with extramusical aspects in order to examine our subjects from a number of perspectives.
